The Women’s Housing Company offices will be closed from 12pm on Wednesday December 24th 2025 to 9am Monday January 5th 2026. Our out of hours service can be reached, for urgent repairs or tenancy/housing related issues, on 1300 556 057. Homelessness Support Services in South Western Sydney will remain open for referrals during this time.

Scholarship

Thank you for your interest in the Women for women Scholarship!

The program aims to help women and their children, housed and supported by Women's Housing Company, to achieve their goals and reach their full potential by supporting their educational journey. We believe education holds immeasurable value for all women and children and plays a particularly crucial role in empowering those in our community.
 
This initiative provides successful applicants with up to $2,000 in financial support, which can be utilised to pursue their educational aspirations through various study and training avenues.

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be a current household member of a Women's Housing Company property
  • Have been a tenant of Women's Housing Company for at least three months
  • Not be in rent, water or other arrears at any point during the application process
  • Agree that the scholarship will be paid directly to the registered education, training, sporting or performing arts institution

Requests cannot be retrospective.

Primary School - up to
$500

High School - up to
$1,000

Tertiary Education or Professional Development - up to $2,000

What can the funds be used for?

  • School, TAFE, college or university fees
  • School excursions and school sports fees
  • Sports or Performing Arts Fees [for a period of 12 months]
  • Tutoring
  • Computer equipment (maximum $750)
  • Office equipment and supplies
  • Textbooks
  • Uniforms or work wear
  • Tools
  • Transport
